A. General Admission Requirements for Academic Programmes

Candidates applying for Postgraduate Studies in Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa must have obtained at least five (5) credits in relevant subject in WASC, NECO, GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents,) NOTE: credit passes are required for English language and mathematics.

Postgraduate Diploma
Candidates must have five credit passes including English, Mathematics and two other relevant science subjects at 'O' Level.
Candidates with Bachelor's degree (B.Sc., B.Eng, B.Tech, B.Sc (Ed).) in relevant areas from OAUSTECH or other recognized universities with a minimum of Third Class Honours.
Candidate with the holders of HND in relevant areas from recognized Polytechnics may also be considered for admission.
Masters Degree
Candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant areas from OAUSTECH or other recognized universities with a minimum of Second Class Honours.
Candidates with Third Class Honours Degree or HND (in relevant areas) with appropriate Postgraduate Diploma from any other recognized institutions with minimum of Second Class Lower (or at least Upper Credit in the Postgraduate Diploma). In addition, the holders of HND, PGD/PGDE certificates should satisfy the basic School Certificate or GCE Ordinary Level entry requirements.
MPhil Degree
Holders of Master of Science (M.Sc)/Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in relevant areas from OAUSTECH or other Universities who scored an overall average of above 50% in their course work at the Master level.
MPhil/PhD Conversion
A candidate with less than 60% weighted average scores but greater than or equal to 55% in the M.Tech/M.Sc, M.Sc.(ed)/M.Eng. programme in OAUSTECH and any other recognized institution may be admitted into the M. Phil/Ph.D. Programme.
Arrangement of Courses: In some cases, candidate for the M. Phil/Ph.D. programme may be advised to audit some courses as may be prescribed by the Department.
Registration for Conversion to Ph.D.: Candidate may be presented for Ph.D. conversion examination after the third semester. To be able to register for Ph.D. conversion, candidate must not obtain less than 60% in a seminar presentation and/or written examination. The conversion examination shall be conducted in accordance with the Postgraduate School regulations.
PhD Degree
Holders of Master's Degree from any University recognized by the National Universities Commission with a minimum of Second Class Lower, provided that satisfactory Masters degree research work formed part of the degree.
Referees Reports
Candidates should print out the referee forms provided in the application page for their referees to fill and return directly to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies. Applications shall not be processed unless the referee reports are available.
Other Information
Applicants are to note that a programme automatically lapse at the expiration of the maximum duration for each programme. However, a candidate may apply for an extension of not less than one semester for Masters and two semesters for Ph.D.
The applicants will undergo a screening exercise before shortlisting for admission.
Non–OAUSTECH graduates applying for Postgraduate Programme should request their previous institutions to forward their official academic transcripts to the address below: Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (PMB 353), Igbokoda Road, Okitipupa, Ondo State, latest SIX (6) weeks from the date of submitting the application form.
All Applications for MPhil & PhD should be accompanied with Research Proposal not more than 500 words in the desired area of proposed studies.

B. General Admission Requirements for Professional Programmes

Candidates for Professional Postgraduate Studies in the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa must have obtained at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects in WASC, NECO, GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents,) at not more than two (2) sittings NOTE: credit passes are required for English language and Mathematics.

Note: Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are required for all the Courses EXCEPT MPA which accept a Pass in Math and a Credit pass in English Language.

Professional Masters
Candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant areas from OAUSTECH or other recognized universities with a minimum of Second Class Honours.
Candidates with Third Class Honours Degree or HND (in relevant areas) with appropriate Postgraduate Diploma from any other recognized institutions with minimum of Second Class Lower (or at least Upper Credit in the Postgraduate Diploma). Professional Doctoral
