Aroge Family Medical Equipment Donation Ceremony

Dr. Israel Olabode Aroge and his family donated medical equipment worth over five million naira to OAUSTECH.

The School of Allied Health Sciences received a generous donation of medical equipment from Dr. Israel Olabode Aroge, a lecturer in the School of Management Sciences, and his family.

The donated equipment includes:

  • Suctioning machine/mucus extractor
  • Nebulizer machine
  • Sphygmomanometer
  • Stethoscope
  • Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine
  • CPAP/BiPAP machine
  • CPAP/BiPAP Hose or Tubing
  • ResMed S8 Elite CPAP/BiPAP
  • Voldyne 2500 spirometer
  • Anatomical models (femur, fibula, and humerus)
  • Apron, Mackintosh sheets
  • Cohesive bandage/self-adherent elastic bandages
  • Nasal catheter, Syringes and needles
  • Ear syringe, Catheters
  • Theatre tape/drape
  • Multimedia projector

Receiving the donation on behalf of the University, OAUSTECH's Registrar, Mr. Abiodun Peter Okunniga, described the donation as timely and impressive, noting that it would facilitate practical learning and real-time assimilation of medical concepts.

The Acting Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Akinyehun Olubanjo, emphasized that the donation is life-saving and heartwarming, and if most teaching hospitals and clinics have such equipment, mortality rates would be significantly reduced.
